Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need a permit to elope in Grand Teton National Park?

Yes! It’s best to plan ahead when eloping at the Tetons because permits for locations with a higher guest count go fast. Permit applications open around November/December the year before. Don’t fret! I’ll provide you all the information you’ll need to apply as soon as the applications open.

How early do we need to start planning our elopement?

If you plan on having more than 12 guests, you’ll need to start planning before permits open (November/December of the previous year) to apply for the specific location you want your ceremony/vow exchange to be.
If you will have fewer guests or just you two, there is more flexibility with permit locations, especially if you want to elope sooner than later!

Do you help us with logistics like vendors and timeline?

Absolutely! I'm not just your Grand Teton Elopement photographer, but expert planner. As a local, I know all types of vendors including hair and makeup artists, private chefs, string musicians, restaurants, horseback guides, and more!
Plus, I create a custom stress-free timeline that includes everything from travel time, snack time, and potty breaks (life happens).

Can we invite family and friends?

I prioritize locations hidden gems that are less busy. That means the guest limit is 12.
different locations have varying numbers of allowed guests for your ceremony/vow exchange, including all vendors, and each location requires a specific permit.
But Don’t worry! I’ll share all the details before you choose a location.

Can we bring our dog?

Heck yeah, you can! There are park rules, such as keeping them leashed, and only on paved areas, but furbabies are always welcomed.
If you want your furry family member to be a bigger part of your ceremony, there are specific locations I'll share where dogs are allowed off paved areas!

do we have to hike?

nope! I have so many gorgeous locations that are secluded with incredible Teton views that require no hiking, just a couple minute walk from the parking area.
And if you want to hike, there are a bunch of different hikes ranging in difficulty and length. Plus, I'll help you with all the logistics of hiking in or with your wedding attire.

Do we need an officiant or witnesses?

Wyoming laws require you to have a licensed officiant perform the ceremony and two witnesses to sign your marriage license. If you have guests attending your ceremony, any of them can be the witnesses. I can also be a witness!
For the officiant, I am a licensed officiant (free of charge) or I can recommend an officiant that fits what you're wanting your ceremony to feel like.
